Junior Development and Talent Development Programme

October 2011 to May 2012

Dear East Midlands Volleyball Player

The aims of the above programme are:
•    To develop volleyball players in the East Midlands region
•    To identify players who have potential and talent to develop further as volleyball players
•    To select players to represent the East Midlands region in the Inter-Regional Championships, where around 200 young players come together to play representative volleyball over three days.
Age Groups  (on the 1st of September 2011)
o    Girls Under 14 (4v4-two teams) and Under 16 (6v6)
o    Boys Under 15 (6v6) and Under 17 (6v6)

This is what you will need to bring/have:


The attached parental consent form completed in full
The attached player profile sheet completed in full
Kit to play in: t-shirt, shorts and trainers
Warm clothing (eg tracksuit/fleece) to put on between activities
Drinks to stay hydrated during the sessions.
£2 per session player contribution.
Due to a change in subsidy by Volleyball England we have introduced the player contribution     
to support court booking, the shortfall will continue to be paid by East Midlands Volleyball
Association.


Programme
o    1st Training    Sunday  16th    October    2011   -   2pm to 4pm                          Southglades LC, Notts. NG5 5GU

All squads will train at the same time, Girls (Court 1) and Boys (Court 2)
Dates for November onwards will be confirmed by 21st October.

Inter-regional Junior Championships
o    June 2012 venue and date to be confirmed

Note for parent(s)/guardian:
All staff coaching and assisting at these events have been CRB checked by the English Volleyball Association.  Both male and female staff will in be attendance at all events.
